Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryVICTOR MATTHIES It is with sadness that we announce the death of Victor Matthies on July 12, 2005 at Misericordia Care Home. Victor was born August 8, 1928 in Winnipeg. He was predeceased by his parents, Jakob and Anna Matthies. Victor is survived by his brother Rudy; his nephews and nieces, Linda (Ron) Plenert, Brian, David (Heather) and Eric Matthies, Winnipeg and Lori (Ray) Dennis, Brandon, MB. Victor enjoyed sports and his lifelong interest in boxing gave him much enjoyment. He was also a longtime member of both the Y.M.C.A. and later Sargent Park Recreation Centre. He was an avid reader and took a keen interest in Canadian politics. According to his wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held Monday, July 18 at 10:00 a.m. at Klassen Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to a charity of choice.
